Una serie di dipinti ispirati a diversi spazi: l’ex fabbrica di vagoni ferroviari Casaralta di Bologna, un Archivio di Stato, un’ex colonia elioterapica, un’ex sanatorio, l’ex casa del fascio di Predappio…
In tutti l’attenzione è concentrata sulla pittura e sullo studio della luce, sulla penombra che si appoggia sulle cose, sul contrasto luce-ombra.
Corridoi, prospettive, porte, varchi e soglie da attraversare, dove il tempo è sospeso. Vivo nell’ombra ma cerco la luce.
Praise to shadow
A series of paintings inspired by different places: an ex-railcar plant in Casaralta (Bologna), a Government Catalogue, an ex-clinic where people were nursed through therapy with the use of the sun, an ex-sanatorium, an ex-house where Fascists used to meet in Predappio (Forlì-Cesena).
In every painting, the attention is focused on colours and light, especially black and white contrasts, and how things appear in half-light situations. Places where time seems to float are represented in hallways, perspectives, doors and doorsteps to be crossed. All things seem to live in shadow, but trying to find light.
